Career/Employment
Case Management Training
Our
Career/Employment Case Management Training supplements the
training learned in our Workforce Development Planning course through a
more intensified approach to teaching career and employment skills to
targeted populations such as “at risk” youth, economically
disadvantaged adults, and welfare populations, and includes the
integration of case management services. Trainees will not only learn the
basic skills of helping participants explore careers and obtain
employment, but will also be introduced to “best practices” models of
service delivery through case studies of effective organizations. Case
Management – the glue that holds all services together – taught
through a series of lectures, role-playing, and group activities. Dynamic
and interactive case management training will teach participants how to
conduct personal assessments, to write employment and learning plans,
counseling and referral strategies, writing effective case notes,
maintaining organized client files, using case management computer
software programs to better maintain and organization information,
identifying community resources and establishing collaborative
relationships with other agencies, setting up and using a Resource Bank,
and how to integrate case management services with other program
activities. All of our training concentrates on the personal nature of the
services delivered and addresses the need to provide a holistic approach
to working with the entire client.
Career
& Advance Education Exposure Training
Our
Career & Advance Education Exposure Training will assist
participants in obtaining the skills necessary to achieve success
utilizing a hands-on approach to presenting themselves and their ideas to
others. To learn to organize ideas into compelling messages, project ideas
with poise and confidence, create powerful audio/visuals, interact with
the audience successfully, build a toolkit for future use,
and
leave with the skills used today. M.E.T. Inc. trainers will assist
participants in obtaining and presenting a polished and professional
presence to potential employers in addition to obtaining the skills to
keep the job once they obtain it. Following the workshop participants will
be able to understand the workshop concepts, conduct themselves
appropriately and professionally in the workplace, use the workshop
concepts to maximize their potential in the workplace, understand why
these lessons are important to their on-the-job success and create
logbooks of the proper tools to build upon for future use.
