Our
Faith Based Community Leadership & Organization Development Training
educates faith-based organizations in how they may participate in the delivery
of social services funded in whole by or in part by tax dollars. Participants
will examine program and fiduciary accountability expectations tied to using
government resources, The course will examine the meaning and responsibility
associated with community nonprofit organization 501 (c) designations, charity
choice laws and regulations, audit preparation and audit principles. This
training teaches faith based organizations and community organizations the
necessary tools including charitable choice laws, difference of government and
quasi governmental organization requirements, corporate, government, and
foundation funding assumptions and the empirical evidence to date on the special
civic significance of faith based leadership in the lives of disadvantaged and
underserved populations.
This
instructor led training teaches and enhances “participants” workplace and
lifeskill knowledge, organizational responsibilities, public and private
communications, and professional skills. Participants will use real-life
experience (work or personal) communication examples as part of the training.
This instructor led training teaches skills in interpretation associated with
organizational mission, vision, culture, group dynamics, and structure.
Participants will be able to understand and develop transactional methods for
influencing and impacting organization development both inside and outside of
their respective organizations. Participants will understand and practice the
model FOURTalk (Framing, Openness, Understanding, and Reciprocity) that will
provide a set of skills for influencing communication that will yield effective
collaborative outcome.
Trainees will also learn community leadership, collaboration,
program, and resource leveraging skills that will enhance economic, business,
and community development initiatives. Participants will take back to their
organizations a set of skills, and resource knowledge that will strengthen their
capacity for effective community building, gaining an understanding about
important elements necessary to attract resources, build partnerships, create
effective systems, and design programs that yield appropriate vision, measurable
objectives, and quantifiable outcomes for individual, professional,
and
community success.
