Dr. Brenda K. Mitchell, President
& CEO
Dr. Mitchell has a
doctorate degree in Public Administration, a Masters Degree in Urban Planning,
immense experience, and prominent recognition in the government, business and
economic development communities. She was former Secretary of the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania, Deputy Secretary of the PA Department of Commerce, Executive
Director, City Ventures Corporation, Business Manager for the Control Data
Corporation, and Director of Manpower Planning for the New York City Addiction
Agency. Dr. Mitchell has managed multimillion dollar budgets, facilitated extensive
research, and executed major planning and contract management projects.
In the leadership role, she has implemented broad economic
and
community development projects in New York City and Baltimore,
as well as in Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Corporate goals are
targeted to helping economically impoverished communities to grow, bridging gaps,
and creating win-win outcomes for public and private sector organizations.
Mr. Benjamin A. Smallwood, Executive
Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Mr.
Smallwood has been engaged in economic and business development for over 26
years. He has served as President of Camden Economic Development Corporation,
Executive Director of Rutgers University Small Business Development Center,
Executive Director of New Jersey Minority Business Development Center, and
Treasurer of
the Private Industry Council of Camden County, New Jersey. Major responsibilities
included technical assistance to government, quasi-government, small business,
and community organizations seeking financing for acquisitions, building
construction, leasehold improvements, machinery, and working capital. In
addition to his financial and economic development skills, Mr. Smallwood is an
experienced educator and trainer. He is a candidate for the doctoral degree in
Management Philosophy at LaSalle University.
Mr. Corrie N.
Mitchell, Founder/Vice President of Corporate Finance & Communications
Mr. Mitchell is
responsible for corporate and customer financial and office technology
management. He is the Project Manager for Consumer Education and Training for
the Healthcare and Utilities Industries. Academic studies include a scholarship
at Johns Hopkins University in engineering. He studied economics and finance at
Penn State University and St. Joseph University. Additional experience consists
of real estate development and property management. His work in finance,
investments, computer software, and information systems has been demonstrated at
General Electric Company, Department of Treasury, Department of Transportation
and Pryor, McClendon, Counts & Company in Harrisburg, Philadelphia, and
Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.
