Workforce Development Planning & Time Management Training

Through an interactive process utilizing the most current training materials, M.E.T. Inc.’s Workforce Development Planning & Time Management Training teaches how

to obtain employment, keep a job once employed, and advance on the job. We can help your staff learn the skills they will need to teach others these skills, or teach your participants directly. Our job seeking skills training helps you learn how to write a resume, complete a job application, dress appropriately, interview effectively, and uncover job leads through a variety of sources, including use of the Internet. Job keeping skills include learning the importance of time and attendance, being productive on the job, working cooperatively with others, addressing issues of racism and sexism,

and leaving your job appropriately when necessary. Job advancement skills will help you learn how to explore careers and develop a Career Action Plan to achieve your goals, how to identify training and educational opportunities in your community, how to get promoted and how to appropriately use your current job to find a better job.

Participants will receive copies of relevant assessment and training materials and a resource directory of recommended training materials. Through our dynamic Time Management Training curriculum, you will learn how to take control of your job and become more efficient by effectively managing people, time, and paper. You will learn how better planning and management can increase your productivity and lessen stress. Daily, weekly, and long-range planning, use of time management tools such as day

planners and computer software programs, organizing your work place, and personal interaction skills will help participants enhance their professional capabilities.
